We’ve had far from a rubbish year at I’m Rubbish and it’s all thanks to you guys. 2015 has seen us provide solutions to a range of waste management and recycling needs for a huge number of new and returning customers, including schools, local authorities, hospitals, churches, shops large and small, and households from across the length and breadth of the UK. This has helped us to maintain our high standards of customer service, providing you with top quality bins of all shapes and sizes whenever you need them.
To get you ready for your greenest year yet, we’ve popped together some tips on recycling for the workplace and household.
— Before you recycle, make sure to reduce and reuse as much as possible.
— Check exactly what your local authority can and can’t take as part of their kerbside collections.
— Familiarise yourself with bin collection dates for 2016, taking note of bank holidays.
— Buy items made from recycled materials and/or sustainable sources.
— Use less water, from only boiling as much as you need when making a cuppa, to pouring unwanted dregs from your glass into household plants.
— Turn off lights when you leave a room and switch the TV off completely instead of putting it on standby.
— Take unwanted fabrics, electrical items, empty paint cans, waste oil, rubble and other materials to your local recycling plant.
— Donate usable items, such as toys and books, to a charity shop, GP surgery or dentist’s waiting room.
— Spread the word of being green to everyone you know!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at I’m Rubbish. See you in 2016!
